SKU CH-CHROMAWASH-55G

High-efficiency universal screen wash and ink remover formulated to emulsify solvent-based, UV-cured, and textile inks for easy water rinsing in manual and automatic screen cleaning systems.

Characteristics

Chromaline Chroma/Screen Wash iSC is a professional universal ink remover designed to simplify screen cleaning and reclaiming by effectively breaking down a broad range of screen printing inks. Its versatile formulation works with solvent-based, UV-cured, and textile inks, helping screen printers reduce the need to maintain multiple specialized ink-removal chemicals.

Chroma/Screen Wash iSC emulsifies ink remaining in the screen after excess ink has been removed. Once the ink is liquefied and emulsified, the residue can be rinsed away with water, providing an efficient first step in the screen reclaiming process.

The low-odor, low-to-no-foam formula is suitable for both manual and automatic screen cleaning operations. Its no-foam characteristics are particularly useful in automated reclaiming equipment where excessive foaming can interfere with the cleaning process.

For automatic cleaning systems, Chroma/Screen Wash iSC can be diluted with water up to 1:1. For heavy ink degrading and ghost-image removal, the product can be used ready-to-use at full strength.

Chroma/Screen Wash iSC features a high flash point of greater than 200°F (93°C), while its high-efficiency formulation helps reduce chemical consumption during routine screen cleaning and reclaiming.

In addition to removing ink before stencil reclamation, Chroma/Screen Wash iSC can be reapplied after the stencil has been removed to help reduce latent ghost images and ink staining remaining in the polyester mesh. Persistent ink ghosts can be treated with additional Chroma/Screen Wash iSC and cleaned using a pressure washer.

Its combination of universal ink compatibility, low odor, minimal foaming, water-rinsable cleaning, and manual or automatic application makes Chroma/Screen Wash iSC an excellent all-purpose ink-removal solution for professional screen-printing operations.

If purchasing 55 Gallon Drum, must have loading dock.

Usage Tips
  • Use a spatula or ink card to remove as much excess ink from the screen as possible before applying Chroma/Screen Wash iSC.
  • Apply Chroma/Screen Wash iSC to the squeegee side of the screen.
  • Use a non-abrasive brush to scrub both sides of the screen until the remaining ink has liquefied.
  • Starting from the bottom of the screen, rinse away the emulsified ink and chemical residue with water.
  • Make sure ink residue is thoroughly removed before proceeding to the stencil-removal stage of reclaiming.
  • For automatic screen cleaning systems, Chroma/Screen Wash iSC may be diluted up to 1:1 with water.
  • Use the product at full strength when heavier ink-degrading performance is required.
  • After stencil removal, inspect the mesh for remaining ink stains or latent ghost images.
  • If an ink ghost remains, reapply Chroma/Screen Wash iSC and clean the affected area with a pressure washer.
  • Use a soft or non-abrasive brush to avoid unnecessary wear on the screen mesh.
  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow the current Chromaline Safety Data Sheet when handling screen-room chemicals.
