Fully automated, modular continuous-flow screen washing and reclaiming system engineered for high-volume production, consistent screen cleaning, reduced labor, and future expansion as reclaiming demands grow.

Characteristics

The Zentner Speedline Modular Auto Screen Wash / Reclaim System is a professional automated screen reclaiming solution designed for high-volume screen printing operations that need to increase screen-room productivity while reducing the labor associated with manual washing and reclaiming.

Built around a continuous conveyor system, the Speedline automatically moves used screen printing frames through the required washing and reclaiming processes. Depending on the system configuration, screens progress through loading, ink washing, dwell, rinsing, de-coating, finishing, and off-loading stages to produce thoroughly cleaned screens ready for the next steps in screen preparation.

One of the Speedline's primary advantages is its fully modular construction. Individual processing modules work together as an integrated reclaim line while remaining independently controlled. This allows a system to be configured around current production requirements and expanded later by adding modules as screen volume and productivity requirements increase.

During the initial washing process, moving jet arms clean both sides of the ink-coated screen. Cleaning chemistry is circulated through the system, filtered, and returned to the appropriate supply tank, helping maximize chemical efficiency while reducing unnecessary consumption.

After washing, the dwell stage allows excess cleaning agent to return to the wash-module tank while the remaining chemistry continues working on the screen. High-pressure moving jet arms then rinse both sides of the screen to remove loosened ink, cleaner, and remaining screen filler.

During the de-coating stage, both sides of the screen are treated with de-coating chemistry under high pressure. The process is designed to provide deep, consistent cleaning while helping reduce residual ghost images. The chemistry is filtered and returned to the system for efficient recirculation.

A final finishing stage uses high-pressure water from moving jet arms on both sides of the screen to remove remaining stencil residue. Once processing is complete, the clean screen exits through the off-loading section.

The Speedline utilizes brush-free, non-contact cleaning technology, eliminating the need for cleaning brushes to physically contact the screen. This helps minimize mechanical wear while reducing brush maintenance and replacement requirements.

Operators can activate or deactivate individual processing modules from the system controls, providing flexibility for different reclaiming requirements. Conveyor speed is electronically adjustable so processing time can be adapted to different screen conditions, chemistry, ink systems, and production requirements.

All primary Speedline modules are manufactured from high-grade rust-resistant stainless steel for durability in demanding screen-room environments. The system's low-maintenance construction, chemical recirculation, filtration, and automated processing make it particularly well suited for production facilities looking to reduce reclaim labor while improving screen-to-screen consistency.

Optional equipment can further automate and optimize the reclaiming process. Available configurations include dedicated InkLine filtration, StripLine filtration, and automatic loading and off-loading magazines. Because of its modular architecture, these capabilities can be incorporated as production requirements evolve.

The Zentner Speedline is designed and manufactured in Germany and provides professional screen printing operations with a scalable automation platform for improving reclaiming efficiency, consistency, throughput, and long-term screen-room productivity.

Processing Stages
  1. Loading – Used screen printing frames are placed onto the loading section and introduced into the continuous reclaim system.
  2. Ink Washing – The ink-coated screen passes through the wash module, where moving jet arms clean both sides. Cleaning chemistry is filtered and recirculated back to the supply tank.
  3. Dwell – Excess cleaning chemistry drains back into the wash-module tank while the remaining chemistry continues working on ink and contamination before rinsing.
  4. Rinsing – High-pressure water from moving jet arms removes loosened ink, cleaning chemistry, and remaining screen filler from both sides of the screen.
  5. De-Coating – De-coating chemistry is applied to both sides under high pressure to remove the stencil and provide deep cleaning while helping reduce residual ghost images. Chemistry is filtered and recirculated.
  6. Finishing – High-pressure moving water jets process both sides of the screen to remove remaining stencil and chemical residue.
  7. Off-Loading – The cleaned screen exits the system for removal and the next stage of screen-room preparation.
Usage Tips
  • Configure the Speedline processing stages according to the ink, stencil, chemistry, and reclaim requirements of your operation.
  • Adjust conveyor speed to provide appropriate chemical contact and processing time for the screens being reclaimed.
  • Activate only the modules required for the specific cleaning or reclaiming process.
  • Maintain filtration systems according to Zentner's recommended service schedule to preserve cleaning performance and chemical circulation.
  • Monitor cleaning and de-coating chemistry and replenish or replace it according to the chemical manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Regularly inspect moving jet arms and spray nozzles to maintain consistent spray patterns and cleaning pressure.
  • Keep chemical tanks, filtration components, and reclaim areas clean to minimize contamination between processes.
  • Use compatible screen-reclaiming chemicals appropriate for the installed system and screen printing ink being removed.
  • Consider InkLine and StripLine filtration when increased filtration and chemical-management efficiency are required.
  • Automatic loading and off-loading magazines can further reduce operator involvement in high-volume screen rooms.
  • Because the Speedline is modular, additional processing capabilities can be added as production requirements increase.
  • Follow all Zentner installation, operation, maintenance, ventilation, electrical, chemical-handling, and safety requirements.
